Why use a Virtual Assistant?
There are a variety of reasons why a business would use a virtual assistant (VA). Some business owners use VA’s on a recurring basis or for a specific task. As business owners look for economical ways to maintain or grow their businesses, VA’s become a viable option especially during peak seasons in their respective industries or when in-house administrative support is simply not available. Still others, because their business is not at a level to have employees, will use a VA to address the administrative needs of the business so they can focus on the technical part of the business.
By definition, a virtual assistant can physically be near or far, but that does not hinder or prevent a VA from providing the level of service that each business partner deserves. Because the VA has a home office, the overhead of purchasing equipment, tools, and training is a responsibility of the VA. The cost to the business is for the service provided, not other benefits usually provided to employees such as vacation \ sick time, meal time, health insurance, supplies, etc.
